Meeting with Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women's Issues
20 January 2010 - Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women's Issues, the American Melanne Verveer has talked with WfWP's Chair Alice Bouman-Dentener and WfWP's treasurer Lesha Witmer about WfWP's activities. The three expressed the interest to have a follow up.

Clinton and Obama
Verveer was the assistant to the president and chief of staff to First Lady Hillary Clinton during the Clinton administration. President Barack Obama appointed Melanne Verveer as Ambassador-at-Large for Global Women's Issues.

Peace Palace
Verveer, Bouman-Dentener and Witmer met at the conference 'Women at the Flash Point: 2010 and Beyond, Women's Voices from Afghanistan and the Neighboring Countries'. This conference has been organized by Gender Concerns International in the Peace Palace in The Hague on the 
14th of January.
