WfWP paper for CSW 54
18 February - WfWP is presented as a good practice in the paper 'Women: Agents of Change. This paper has been prepared by the Netherlands Council of Women in close collaboration with WfWP and the Platform Women for Sustainable Development.

The paper will be presented at the meeting of the Commission on the Status of Women, CSW 54, that will be held in New York from 1st-12th of March.

At a briefing session about CSW 54 in The Hague, the chair of the Netherlands Council of Women, Dieny Scheffer, officially handed over the paper to Carolien Scheele, deputy Director of Emancipation of the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and delegation leader in New York.

Carolien Scheele said 2010 will be a special year for CSW since there will be a review of the Beijing Platform for Action, fifteen years after its approval. Furthermore 2010 is fifteen years after Beijing where the fourth CSW was organised and the Platform for Action was set up.
