Talks about Women for Water African Decade
4 March 2010 - SC President Alice Bouman-Dentener and SC-Treasurer Lesha Witmer had a long and fruitfull conversation with US Ambassador at large for global women's issues, Melanne Verveer during the Commission on the Status of Women session in New York this week. They discussed the ideas for the Women for Water African Decade at length. These ideas were met by a lot of support from the Ambassador.

In the framework of the CSW, Women for Water representatives Alice Bouman and Lesha Witmer also met with officials of UN DESA, Kenza Robinson (chief communication) and Dianne Quarless (chief partnership unit) to discuss their support for the Decade and discuss wider acknowledgement of Women as Agents fo Change.
