Erasmus+ Mobility, 29 Sep. – 3 Oct. 2025, Istanbul, Türkiye

The Water Journey in Turkey, Istanbul, has ended. The text below says it all.

Within the framework of the Erasmus KA153 Journey of Water project, we are filled with joy and gratitude as we conclude a journey that has left profound marks on our minds, hearts, and spirits. Water is not only a source of life for humankind; it is also the bearer of cultures, civilizations, and our shared human values. It is the most precious treasure bestowed upon us. We witnessed its beauty most clearly here in our beloved Istanbul — a city that bridges Asia and Europe, and for centuries has nourished four great civilizations. Our gathering in this ancient city is no coincidence, for just as destiny unites people, water remains one of the most powerful forces connecting humanity.

Throughout this project, we did not merely acquire scientific knowledge. While examining the water cycle, ecological balance, and sustainability from an academic perspective, we also witnessed how friendships and common ideals can flourish. We formed ideas as clear as water, and friendships that flow with the patience of a stream. Our Journey of Water in Istanbul has reminded us that:

  • Nature and humanity are inseparable.
  • Local solutions can address global challenges.
  • And most importantly, when we act together, we can merge like drops of water and become an ocean.

This journey does not end here. As we return to our countries and our cities, we will carry with us the knowledge gained, the experiences shared, and the friendships built. The journey of water never stops; it flows from one country to another, from one heart to the next.

On behalf of the International Water Well Aid Association, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all our guests who contributed to and took part in this project. Let us remember: just as a single drop of water can change a person’s life, a single person can spread goodness across the world. For water is the purest source of healing, and kindness is the finest remedy.

As we bid you farewell from Istanbul, we are truly delighted to have met each of you, and we wish that the joy and happiness we see on your faces continue to grow.

With love and respect,

H. Ali Aydın

Chairman of the Board
